Founded in 1965 on Navy Point in St. Michaels, the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum welcomes nearly 70,000 guests per year to its 18-acre waterfront campus with 12 exhibition buildings housing permanent and special exhibitions. Annual festivals bring additional elements of Chesapeake culture to the campus, including the Antique & Classic Boat Festival, Watermen’s Appreciation Day, and OysterFest.
